My Bio
I've been creating art all my life, and I find that it is one of those things that I enjoy most. I usually create drawings and paintings, although I have been recognized for various 3-dimensional work. I went to art school in Alaska, I loved it there, and I would like to go back for a summer vacation. I also have a business degree and currently reside on the east coast of the USA.

Currently, I am uploading all my work with my cell phone, so the pictures I'm uploading might be a little grainy. I hope to fund additional tools with my artwork, so hopefully I'll be able to post some good pictures someday.

Feel free to leave comments. Thank you for your interest.
Good evening. I just got back from a few days at the outer banks. I did two pen drawings in my sketchbook, one of a random series of shapes and textures that blended together to make a toucan looking animal, and the other started as another sketch of my wife. Unfortunately she left before I could get the whole of it down, so I improvised. I was lurking around on deviantart and I found some neat artist. I decided to "watch" him because he's a pastel artist... well actually an everything artist, but his pastels has got me all geeked up into getting back into the medium. Hopefully there will be more charcoal and pastel in the future.

With all my browsing around about drawing and art in general I felt that I needed to add another study to my drawing routine. Currently, my routine is to do an hour or two on the figure. My favorite two sites are posemaniacs and pixelovely. I may start adding a daily portrait, because those seem to sell every now and again, but to increase my skill, I have started copying/ mimicking artist that are better than me. I try to get detailed pictures so I can see the brush or pencil strokes and copy it down to that level. The first one I did was a random picture that I found floating on the internet. I assumed it was Davinci or something, but I ju

Good afternoon,     I have been busy lately, but I have been keeping up with my sketching every day. Often, when I don't have a clear image in mind, I will practice my figure drawing technique from various websites. My current favorite website is pixelovely.com. On this site, one can set a timer for 30, 60, or 90 seconds, but there is also a section where you can do an extended drawing session. Very cool. Be sure to donate a little something because I'm sure the bandwidth is not free. I decided to upload the final picture of my last drawing session. It was a 30 minute sketch.

I am completely smitten with your work, I hope to be able to draw as awesome as you one day (: 'till then i'll just sit here with my tablet :3
Thank you so much! Your work draws me in too, I especially like the insect. Keep creating, the key is to do a lot of work, not to spend a all your time perfecting one.
What tablet do you use? Which one would you get now that you have experience? I hope one day to get a tablet and start a body of electronic work, but I'm concentrating on portraits at the moment.
Thank you for the nice words (: I kinda get drawn into every work I create, I'm a bit of a nitpicker so I tend to overdo everything.
At the moment I'm using a Trust Tablet that I got a few years ago (it was a bit in the "cheap end" of the tablets, just so I could get started) but if I could choose one now, it would probably be an Intous4 or 5. I've heard a lot of good things about them and checked a few reviews, so that's probably the ones I'd try for today (: Of course, different people, different preferences.
Many thanks for the watch
It is my pleasure, truly. Your pastels and charcoal pictures have inspired me to get my fingers dirty. How long have you been drawing professionally?
well for ever really.....
Art college etc in the 1960's and just hanging on !
